We are a troupe. We have youth and adults who love this world, and if you would like to bring them into your adventure too, there are different fee structures to match. It is, quite honestly, a choose your own adventure.

Below is what is possible. Have a look, and let us know what fits your group.

Three ways to adventure

01

An encounter with Faythe

Help Faythe, a lone traveler, find their way. Anticipate a call to action, get briefed on the rules of engagement, train in sword, spellcasting and staff (and archery, if you choose), then let the quest begin.

The one option that does not require Non-Playable Characters from your group.

02

A one-day campaign

Invite a roving party of two or more adventurers who will valiantly die at your venue. Choose your add-ons:

  • A forge
  • An apothecary with real wild-crafted potions you can drink
  • A merchant with wares for “sale,” plus hand-crafting, woodworking and fire making, for hot chocolate a.k.a. the resurrection potion of life

Training your own Non-Playable Characters takes at least 5 hours of online tutorials and Q&As on what to do, say and wear. We also have a longer training manual for players who want a deeper understanding of how LARP works.

03

Join a community Adventure Quest

Attend as your own party at a community Adventure Quest, typically offered on a weekend. Location and dates to be determined.

Add archery

Archery pairs naturally with any adventure. It adds one to two hours at our standard rate, and needs a site with a 60 yard range and 180 degree target radius, plus a rider on our insurance. Ask us and we will help you plan the site assessment.

Good to know

  • At least half your group needs to be Non-Playable Characters. We can provide a few, and you provide some too (an encounter with Faythe is the exception).
  • Online training is available on request.
  • We are available annually in the nicer days, typically April to September.
  • Your landscape needs permission for forested and/or field areas, plus a washroom.
  • Prepare for 2 to 6 hours of unleashed adventure.
  • Suited for ages 8 to 108.

What is WARP?

A WARP character in the forest

Wild Adventure Role Play (WARP) is our own created playform, a platform of play, for Live Action Role Play. It is player-led and choose your own adventure, suited for able-bodied people who want an adventure.

It plays a bit like Dungeons & Dragons: some of it is imagined, and the rest is real, role-played with gold coins, quests, swords and adventure. Some say it feels like a video game in real life. We explore in nature, telling stories with swords, quests and gold coins, and gaining epic skills and experience points. For first-timers, it takes a while to get into the art of role-playing: staying in character, understanding the boundaries of the game, what you can do and what you cannot. It is very much a learn-by-doing process.

This LARP is different from any other out there because it focuses on connecting with the Earth, developing social and emotional skills through ridiculous play, using real wild-crafted herbs for potions, and practicing harvesting with mindfulness and ceremony. Discerning, always, whether we really need to kill anything.

With costumes, character kits, props and story, you get to escape your world and pretend to be someone else.
