Support a Teacher

It is true, Teachers need support too!

For the past 10 years, teachers have expressed their concerns about the demands they endure as a teacher. Out of all the teachers we know, nearly all of them are not only giving this responsibility a valiant effort, but they need more support in the following ways:

  1. Teachers are feeling challenged by the large class sizes as well as different learning styles. This causes the youth who have different learning styles to act out and disrupt the rest of the class.
  2. When it comes to nature-connection, most outdoor guides have a 6-to-1 ratio, where teachers have a 30-to-1 ratio and are expected to be more “child-lead” and take them outside.
  3. If we expect our children to have more Nature-engaged programming, we need to have more able-bodied and keen-minded adult support.
