July 4-8 : Week 1 : The Search of the Lost Child
Crafting Play in the Wild! Exposure to search and rescue training, first aid and Ambulance visit, police investigation and fire rescue play. Finding a lost child and developing real-life and exciting life skills through adventurous play. Regions: Errington Community Park [Depending on transportation we hope to expand to local parks and wild spaces]
July 11-15 : Week 2 : Fellowship of the Safe
Using the Sacred Market Place as the hub of activity, once the group generates cohesion and teamwork, there will be a grand quest that we need to get to. This is decided upon by the children, where in the end we give something to a group from around the world. All fill with adventure, activity and play throughout the day. Regions: Errington Community Park [Depending on transportation we hope to expand to local community markets and other parks further afield]
July 18-22 : Week 3 : Project DO SOMETHING!
Think “from ME to WE!” By this time children will have come across some regions in our community that need support. This week is filled with challenges and adventures to solve WHAT TO DO about these issues, and take action to DO SOMETHING. Again filled with all sorts of random and fun activities to build momentum. Regions: Errington Community Park [Depending on transportation we hope to go to specific regions with support from Search and Rescue for safety]
July 25-29 : Week 4 : Wild Craft Play Adventure Race!
Have you ever heard of the Adventure Races they have in the UK? I used to run these in Vancouver, and have been itching to run one for the kids. look out. it takes training, learning map and compass work, teams of 2 or 4. It’s about accomplishing the race, not who gets there first. Race training up until Thursday, Race Day. Awards, Celebrations Certificates and storytelling is a must on the Friday! [Regions: Errington Community Park [Depending on transportation we hope train at Hammer Fest, Top Bridge, Laburnum Trails and Qualicum Beach water front]
